Steve Lee, Founder and CEO

Steve Lee has worked in Hollywood for over 35 years as a “Sound Effects Wrangler” - archivist, designer and editor. He has contributed sounds and vocals to films including "The Lion King," "Apollo 13," "The Nightmare Before Christmas," "A Goofy Movie," and many others. He is a regular contributor to the Motion Picture Sound Editors magazine “Wavelength." Steve is also currently assembling a series of books compiled from the Museum’s Webinar interviews he has hosted with over 80 professionals in entertainment audio, as well as finishing a semi-autobiographical account of his “Adventures in Sound.”

Lisa Howes Yewdall, CFO

Lisa’s career began in legitimate theatre at the University of Delaware. She then moved to Carbondale Illinois, working at the SIUC campus’ Shryock Auditorium. From there she went to Los Angeles and began working in the area of post-production sound. When she moved to North Carolina with husband David, she worked as the Executive Director for a non-profit maintaining financial and organizational matters as well as grantwriting.

Gary Rydstrom

A seven-time Oscar winning Sound Designer and Re-recording mixer, Gary Rydstrom has contributed his talents to such memorable films as “Jurassic Park,” “Terminator 2,” “Backdraft,” “Toy Story,” “Saving Private Ryan,” “Ready Player One,” “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” and many, many more. He has also directed the animated Pixar short “Lifted,” and the animated feature “Strange Magic.”

Richard Anderson

Richard Anderson has over 150 film credits in sound editing, including "Star Trek: The Motion Picture," "48hrs," "Predator," "Beetlejuice," and "Batman Returns." He shared a Special Achievement Oscar with Ben Burtt for his work on "Raiders of the Lost Ark" (1981), and has two additional Oscar nominations for "Poltergeist" (1982) and "Daylight" (1996). He won an Emmy Award for sound design on the Steven Spielberg-directed TV episode of "Amazing Stories." Richard recently directed the film “Lee’d the Way” - which featured sound effects editing done by Museum Founder, Steve Lee.

Victoria Rose Sampson

Vickie Sampson is an award-winning producer/writer/director, film and sound editor. With over 200 credits of sound work, including the Oscar-winning films “Speed” and “The River,” she has personally won 4 Golden Reel Awards and an Emmy. She has taught sound editing at several venues and lectures frequently about the craft.

Alyson Dee Moore

Alyson Dee Moore has been working as a Foley Artist for 40 years and is considered a master of the craft. With well over 300 credits, her work includes "The Matrix Reloaded," "Speed Racer," "The Dark Knight," "Interstellar," "The Flash," and the recent Star Trek shows "Discovery" and "Picard."

Vanessa Theme Ament

Vanessa Theme Ament has been a Foley artist, Supervising Foley editor, and voice actor in many films including “Die Hard,” “Platoon,” “Predator,” and “A Goofy Movie.” She is the author of The Foley Grail, Divergent Tracks: How Three Film Communities Revolutionized Film Sound, and various chapters about film sound.
